I am an assistant professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research interests include identity and representation; public institutions and historical understanding; and relationship among academic, popular, and school history (in both digital and non-digital media). I enjoy Cole Porter songs, particularly those about wide open spaces.
