Roy Hawkey was a science teacher and university lecturer in science education before becoming Head of Education at The Natural History Museum, where he has been responsible for a number of innovations such as QUEST and Investigate. Roy has published widely on science education and given conference papers and presentations on a variety of topics, although his principal interests are the development of resources for independent and constructivist learning, the role of ICT in science education and the public understanding of science. He is currently a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Education at the University of Brighton.
