Julie Springer Julie Springer is an art historian and educator at the National Gallery of Art. In her current position as Coordinator of Teacher Programs, she is responsible for developing seminars and teaching materials that make the Gallery’s collections accessible to K-12 educators nationwide. In recent years she has been helping teachers explore visual art through multimedia technologies, beginning in 2001 with an initiative to build Web sites using the Gallery’s collections, and currently, electronic storytelling using works of art. Previously, Julie was Curator of American Paintings at the Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia, Athens. She has also taught at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She is a regular contributor to the Woman’s Art Journal.
