Deutsches Museum Online: presenting science and technology on the Web

Matthias Knopp and Antje Harder, Deutsches Museum Online, Germany

Demonstrations
Saturday, April 25, 1998
10:00 am - 3:00 pm

As the Deutsches Museum is not only famous for its unique objects but also for its concept of interactivity, the Web site tries to combine both aspects. Have a look at the "First Diesel engine" (you can even make it move) or listen to our "Antique Music Instruments"!

Furthermore we want to show and discuss:

  • our experience with sponsoring,
  • our "frame-less" navigational system,
  • QuickTime applications for presenting exhibits and experiments
  • a virtual tour through our visitor's mine via QuickTime panorama views.
