Professor Robert Derome teaches in the Department of Art History at the Université du Québec à Montréal since 1979, with a specialty in the field of Quebec Art (17th-19th centuries) and Art History Methodologies. He has played a key role in establishing a new Ph.D. program in Art History. He is also a member of the teaching staff in the M.A. Museology program. From 1975 to 1979 he has been curator of Canadian Art at the National Gallery of Canada. Since then, he participated to several exhibitions with various Museums. Since his implication with new technologies, he has published on his website two exhibition catalogs, several articles, as well as important research and communication tools. He is now President of the Art History Webmasters Association founded in 1997.
