Posting Online Exhibitions with CONTENTdm: Technology that Works
Kenning Arlitsch, University of Utah, USA

Demonstration: Demonstrations 2

The Museum of Fine Arts at the University of Utah recently posted its first online exhibition, through a collaboration with the main library on campus. "Albert Tissandier: Drawings of Nature and Industry in the United States - 1885" are the works of the French artist during his travels across the country. This demonstration will focus on the technology used to post this and other digital collections at the University of Utah. Using the library's digital collections server, called CONTENTdm, collaborating institutions in Utah are able to post their digitized images at very low cost, while simultaneously retaining control and identity. Projects with the State Historical Society and public libraries have also been completed, and the model is being expanded to the entire state. Come see this visually stimulating presentation, and walk away brimming with ideas.
