Kenning Arlitsch earned his B.A. at Alfred University, in New York, and his MLIS at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a tenured librarian at the University of Utah, where he has worked since 1994, when he was hired as an instruction librarian. In 1997, Kenning was one of 12 librarians chosen to represent the United States in the International Library Fellows program, administered by the American Library Association. He lived and worked in Cyprus for six months, and returned to the University of Utah in 1998 to begin working in digital libraries. He has been Head of Digital Technologies since 2001, overseeing the library's digitization and application programming efforts.
