DAM Best Practices: A limited enrollment workshop

Marisela Alzuhn, Extensis, USA
Ed Smith, Extensis

An Extensis DAM subject matter specialist shares best practices to help you successfully implement digital asset management in your organization. Throughout the session you will see examples from organizations like The World Bank, Yale, The National Gallery of London, and Methodologie.

In this session you’ll:

Find out why it’s important to involve the main stake holders and how to identify them.

Learn to assess your current workflow and how it relates to defining your future workflow with DAM

Gain an understanding of Metadata, Taxonomy, and Folksonomy to maximize the benefit of using the right methodology for your organization.

Learn how to determine the Schema and Master Keywords most appropriate for your workflow.

See recommendations for organizing your assets and the benefits you’ll gain from a centralized location for asset distribution.

During the roundtable discussion you and your peers will discuss the top challenges organizations such as yours encounter:

  • Integrating DAM with your current workflow
  • Implementing DAM across multiple departments

You’ll learn insights from others at your table about challenges and successes they’ve experienced as well as share your own. This will be your opportunity to start networking to make connections you can maintain well after the conference. In the regroup section you’ll learn what those at the other tables have identified as the key take-aways for each of the round table topics.
