Lily Díaz is an artist and designer working in the area of digital technology. She is experienced with interactive digital media, photography, and video and has a particular interest in cultural heritage. She is currently Professor of Systems of Representation at the Media Lab Helsinki where she coordinates the Doctor of Art studies program, teaches information design and design research, and leads several nationally funded research projects such as: HandsOn, a project that deals with the applicability of virtual reality systems in industrial design and animation environments; Mobile Support for e-Maintenance (Emari) a project dealing with designing training materials for multiple cultures; and UbiLife, a project for developing mobile solutions for ubiquitous computing in urban environments. http://mlab.taik.fi/~lily/blog/
