For more than four years Lola Pyne managed the Web Design & Development Team at the Library of Congress and currently serves as Manager of Interactive Media for the Library of Congress Experience program. In these roles she has been responsible for leading the design and development of various web applications, online collections, interactive exhibitions, internet activities, web video projects, and on-site kiosk installations all designed to increase access to the vast resources of our nation’s oldest cultural institution. Projects include American Memory and Global Gateway collections which present US and international Library holdings, interactive features on the Learning Page site for educators and students, the Library’s online shop, web exhibitions with curator video, and interactive exhibit kiosks which are mirrored online at myLOC.gov. Lola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Spelman College and a Master of Science in Museum Education from Bank Street College. Her professional and educational interests are centered on using technology as a tool to connect cultural institutions with audiences in engaging and meaningful ways.
