Ingrid Beazley BA Hons. in Art History and Psychology; Cert. Ed. with extensive experience in teaching both in the UK and abroad. She has worked in the education department of Dulwich Picture Gallery for 16 years, guiding, lecturing and teaching from 7 year olds to degree level. She has run a number of education projects at Dulwich Picture Gallery (in a prison, secure remand home, primary school etc) and is now their e-learning project developer. In this role, from 2004-2007 Ingrid ran an interactive hand-helds programme, creating the content and organising the school and family sessions. (See MW2007 demonstration). She is now running an outreach project for teenagers where they are designing a youth website in order to attract their peers to Dulwich Picture Gallery. Until last year Ingrid was the chair of the Friends of Dulwich Picture Gallery, a voluntary organisation of over 6,000 members which raises a substantial sum annually on which the Gallery depends for its day to day running. The Friends organise almost all of the Gallery’s events, so encouraging interest and involvement and making it a major part of the local community. It was in this capacity that Ingrid was instrumental in the setting up of 4 Friends social networking sites and the blog Dulwich OnView. Ingrid was runner up in the Third Sector Award for Volunteer of the Year 2007. She is a consultant for numerous Museum Friends organisations.

Ingrid will demonstrate Dulwich OnView: A museum blog run by the community for the community. [Demonstration]
