Blanca Acuña is a Mexican graphic designer and currently a doctoral student of New Media in the Media Lab-Helsinki at the University of Art and Design-Helsinki, Finland. She has developed several graphic design and visual communication activities mainly in Mexico, and some in Finland. Besides her design activities, she has been professor of design at Universidad Veracruzana Mexico, as well as a visiting artist and lecturer in the Department of Art at Georgia Southern University, USA. Her doctoral research project: A New Media Approach: Visualization of a Digital Exhibition. A Case of Study (working title) addresses the framework for a design case study of a digital application. The purpose of the research project is to reflect on the importance that information design, navigation structures, and interactivity have in the design of interfaces within the digital domain.
