Erika is a Curator of Science, Technology, and Industry at the Powerhouse Museum, and for the last three years she has researched and cared for a wide range of collections including historic wool, plastic, scientific instruments, and medical paraphernalia. In 2009 she became the project lead for the Museum’s first curatorial blog, ‘Object of the Week’, through which the curatorial team have been dipping their toes into the social media pool. She is interested in the effects social media is having on curators, and excited about the new possibilities it presents to the profession.
